| Abstract | This essay is an excerpt of the author's study on the foundational principles underlying Chiara Lubich's commitment in interreligious dialogue. The analysis of Chiara's theory (spirituality of unity) and praxis in interreligious dialogue surfaced six "clusters" of theological perspectives. The first five clusters are intimately linked to five points of the spirituality of unity underlying Lubich's interreligious commitment. The sixth cluster concerns her specific methodology in the field. Her spiritual vision (spirituality of unity) has fostered breakthroughs in the lives of thousands of believers of other faiths, and thereby opened new avenues or pathways of interreligious dialogue for the Church today. |
