| Abstract | The author is Founder-Director of Asian Centre for Cross-Cultural Studies,Chennai. This is the text of a paper he presented at an International Symposium held in the Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt, on 20 & 21 November, 2009. In it he explains the need of a "Public Theology" that in dialogue among religions and ideologies addresses the public issues that affect all the communities in the Asia and seeks solutions to them, stressing the performative role of such theology. |
