| Abstract | The promise of Jesus that 'the Holy Spirit will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you and lead you into all truth' is the source of joy and hope for all Christians. From generation to generation the Holy Spirit, thanks to his interior enlightenment, in fact leads believers to an always less inadequate understanding of the message of the Gospel. The ecumenical movement, raised up by the Spirit, nudges Christians to reconciliation, making them aware of being already in the communion of the one Church, even though with differing levels of communion and of already being participants of the same faith, even if at times this is expressed in diverse forms. Even the great world religions are under the action of the Holy Spirit who leads them to always more explicate the message of peace and human fraternity contained in them. Thanks to the action of the Spirit, the Churches and humanity will know how to welcome even more fully and conscientiously the gift of peace received in Christ. |
