| Abstract | How should dialogue be understood? Dialogue is not characterized by the renunciation of 'converting' the other; therefore, is renunciation in profound antithesis with the nature of the 'Weltanschauung' that proposes itself as absolute and universal? Universal conceptions are reciprocally placed in confrontation in the same historical space of existence and thus continually remain alive. In such a situation, dialogue is the only way possible for coexistence. But is it possible? I believe so. However a dialogue in true liberty, is not only animated by tolerance and by coexistence that are accepted because the force to annihilate the adversary is missing. A dialogue is one that desires to place oneself in discussion. A world vision, in principle, needs to attempt this task. |
