| Abstract | Islam is the most polemic monotheistic civilization of human history and the one with the fastest growth in the present world. One of the fundamental pillars of the shariah (islamic law) is jihad, the fight for God?s sake and for the defense of Islam. This noble principle has suffered complicated deformations from both muslims and non-muslims, but very particularly from the media. The nefarious events of September 11, 2001, brought to light this reality. Dialogue between religions is imperative in our time. ?All on the same level without differences or discriminations?. Whether we inderstand it or not, the greatest reponsibility lies on us, Abraham?s children. |
