| Abstract | A veteran theologian from India and peritus of Vatican II, offers us a reflection on the understanding of revelation and faith rediscovered by Vatican II after the period of neo-scholasticism, and explains this understanding on the basis of J.Ratzinger's comments on chapters 1 and 2 of Dei Verbum. Fr Neuner perceives in Dominus Iesus a danger of overstressing the doctrinal rather than the personal aspects of revelation and faith. The Council teaching leaves the definitive revelation in Jesus Christ "dynamically open". |
