Abstract The author of the Department of Systematic Theology and Indian Religions, develops a sociology of religious pluralism from the metaphysical foundation that the Ultimate Reality is pluriform which cannot be exhausted by any one mode of perception. He shows also how a lack of openness to pluralism leads to conflicts whereas dialogue is the result of the acceptance of religious pluralism.
