Abstract Many exponents of the "Theology of Religions", most of all those of pluralistic tendences, are convincted that Second Vatican Council has acknowledged the salvific value of non-Christian religions, as true and proper meditations, in which God with his grace performs salvation. But, does the Council authorizes this conclusion? This article answers to this question analyzing the conciliar texts dealing with the subjects of grace, salvation and religions, according to the official documentation within the Acts. Thus it demonstrates the lack of basis of that theses, because, really, the Council opposes to acknowledge any salvific value of the religions. Forty years after the Council, this article is a memorandum to those theologians who seek to purify Theology of Religions from the ideological pollutants incompatible with faith.
