| Abstract | This study, taking into account the various points of reflection offered by the cultural project, intends to present a rereading of the role of the layman, insofar as he is a promoter-creator of culture within the Church and contemporary society. The rereading is performed in the light of the proposals made by Vatican Council II and by Christofideles Laici, but also in the light of the new problems, the new anxieties and the difficulties, which are envisaged at the arrival of the third millennium. In a particular way, the author insists on the necessity and importance of a discourse on ?ongoing formation? for the faithful layman, who is called today more than ever to render his own testimony of faith ?visible? in front of the world. |
