Abstract The Church is opened to religious pluralism as part of its own faith in God. This pluralism is the ?locus theologicus? of the understanding of the Christian faith in relation with the other religions. In this context, a new missionary commitment and a new definition of missionary can be proposed. The man who made and constructed the ecclesiastical communities has become the man of spirit and the experience of God. His understanding is theological, he is the man of truth and compassion, so that in the kenosis and dialogue, he can offer to the local church as servant and collaborator in the announcement of the Gospel.
