| Abstract | This brief essay, reprinted in its entirety, was written by Professor Panikkar for the golden jubilee of Father Joseph Constantine Manalel, who founded the journal jeevadhara in 1971 and still serves as its general editor. The essay was preceded by the following editorial introduction: "The mystery of the Incarnation is Incarnatio continua. Theologizing in India is not an exegesis of past texts but the expressing from the recesses of the Indic people of the ineffable experience of the living faith". |
