Abstract Paul of Tarse represents one of the typical Jews who, in his period, has obtained a multicultural education. Some scholars write, in fact, about his triple belonging: he is conscious of being Jew by birth, of speaking the greek language religiously and finally of being a roman citizen politically. For this reason he is able to debate with everyone, without repudiating this ethnical identity, and to present the evangelical message by an intercultural speech. His missionary purpose makes him get over the barriers among the different peoples and cultures, opening to the Gospel the horizon of the universality.
