| Abstract | The article deals with the issue of religious freedom in the United States with the aim of reflecting on the particular way relations were governed between the religious sphere and the political sphere in the American nations. The a. shows how the same scenarios differ, for historical reasons, from those defined by several European nations. The hypothesis under discussion can be as follows: the origins of American democracy freedom of religion - different from the freedom from religion - is the ideal matrix of civil and political freedoms that are recognized in the Constitution. |
