| Abstract | The article was originally a paper presented during the meeting of the Society for Asian Biblical Studies (SABS) held from 23-26 June 2014 at Chang Mai, Thailand under general theme ?Violence in Human and Earth Community.? The a. shows that the picture of Abraham presented in the book of Genesis contrasts with the picture found in the rest of the Old Testament, and that it is in Abraham that the religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam meet. We should learn from the open attitudes of Abraham to followers of other faiths and cultures. |
