Abstract With its doctrine of anekāntavāda, often illustrated by the famous fable of the blind men and the elephant, which also inspired the great Sufi masters, Jainism offers a valuable epistemological framework for the interreligious dialogue. Without overcome the main principles of Western logic, it makes possible the articulation of (for their own part) consistent but mutually contradictory discourses. Refusing skepticism and relativism as well as dogmatism, he draws a logic of the enunciation that leaves room for the opponent and its own logic.
