| Abstract | In the past fifty years, since the first encounter in Seelisberg (1047) and when Nostra Aetate was promulgated (1965), Jewish and Catholic women have given a great and specific contribution to the dialogue and new re-encounter between Christians and Jews, especially in Italy. This essay is an attempt to recognize their contribution and put their efforts, often overlooked, in due perspective. It is a rich picture through which we can appreciate the female genius for being better at understanding and practicing values such as listening to others, the ability of teaching, intellectual honesty, reconciliation, and forgiveness. |
