| Abstract | This essay explores the hermeneutical and theological concept of ?fulfillment without supersessionism? as an attempt to affirm, for Christians, the Christ-centrism of the salvation but with no lost of the permanent richness and values of the Jewish Scriptures or First Testament (the Tanakh). In other words, the a. is searching for a new model of (re)reading the First Testament, a model of ?complementarity? in order to symbolically interpret and understand those Scriptures, and a model through which the novelty of the divine Incarnation in Jesus enlightens and is enlightened by what historically precedes it, without reasoning in terms of theological supersessionism. |
