| Abstract | Christian readers of the Coran are apt to be puzzled by the way in which biblical figures such as Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus are represented in the sacred book of the Muslims. To such readers the A. recommends the study of the Prophetic Legends. This very ancient and abundant literature, which has never ceased being popular, will introduce them to the biblical narrative as it was recounted in the first Muslim cities (from the Yemen to the Caspian Sea). |
