Abstract In this article the a. highlights the achievements of Constant Joseph Beschi, one of the great missionaries who worked in Madura Mission, India. Beschi incarnated himself in the rich Tamil cultural and religious traditions. He not only developed Tamil Christian devotional literature but also brought about the renaissance of the Tamil bhakti movement.
