| Abstract | The sociology of religions can constitute a reference in the construction of the socialization of university youth. In this respect the institutional space in France and in French-speaking Canada proves to be reduced, contrary to what can be found in the United States. As well, it seems that there is a distortion between the offer of content in focalized theoretical perspectives and the pursuits of a public with the widest possible horizons. Depending on the institutional conditions, the practice of the social sciences, through the exercise of the intellectual asceticism which they require and the nature of the obtained results, produce a personal identity of the subject. The questioning or the construction of identity is developed individually by pedagogical innovations, the links between scientific formation and cultural formation, between basic formation, specialization and field work. |
