| Abstract | This article is based on a research conducted in Saltillo (Coahuila, Mexico), whose overall objective is to reconstruct the life story of Father Humberto Alvarez, focusing on the tools he use to evangelize in the church Ojo de Agua and the media impact generated by a local publication with reference to his liturgical practices, from the dissemination of information in virtual spaces. The methodology used is of mixed type (biographical interviews, critical discourse analysis and content analysis). The overall results highlight a trend towards the ?espectacularizaci?n del catolicismo?, conceived as a form, more or less consciously, to revitalize the Catholic faith, in a context of growing religious differentiation. |
