| Abstract | The book Ritornare a Israele is an important reference for those who wish to know La Pira's many international relations. There are examined together with an historical analysis of La Pira's path linked to the relationship with the Jewish world. In the archive "La Pira" there are a lot of documents not yet exploited that allow us to understand how his initiatives for peace were carefully prepared, along with a large number of international partners. The book's significance is evident from the list of archival and bibliographical acronyms which highlight cards not only from Italian and Vatican archives, but also emerging from French, Spanish, German, Israeli, and American ones. There are many essays worthy of relief, but it must be pointed out the great importance of the contribution by Maria Chiara Rioli, the book's editor, "the two Palestine", which analyses La Pira's action and reflection in the Arab-Israeli conflict drawing information from unexplored sources and archives as the Israeli ones. |
