| Abstract | This article focuses on the way the international community deals with the protection of human rights, that is on the whole network of international norms and institutions designed to protect human rights and dignity. It will explore the place of human rights in international law and give an overview of how this protection network has envolved, of its principles and its way of functioning. The fight against the crime of 'enforced disappearances' in international law will serve as an illustration. |
