| Abstract | Religious innovation is a heuristic category which it is possible to apply to institutions at the basis of secular societies. Indeed, in spite of their ?exit from religion?, some of those lay institutions are places of production of discourse and spiritual practices that prove novel, especially where, in a more or less recent past, religious traditions are likely to have had a structuring role. In this text, the a. identifies factors and normativities that preside over the institutionalisation of discourse and spiritual practices in health care settings of the Quebec public health care network. |
