| Abstract | Intercultural dialogue is at the centre of a civilized way of living in a multicultural world. There are some basic concepts which must be kept in mind when one discuses about intercultural dialogue, such as, the meaning and nature of intercultural dialogue, the need, conditions and objectives of this form of dialogue, its theological and anthropological foundations, the different kinds of intercultural dialogue, the importance of education to intercultural dialogue and the teaching of the Catholic Church on intercultural dialogue. The article argues that cultural pluralism and cultural differences are not in themselves a threat, but rather a means for mutual enrichment, a gift and a force to build a better world. |
