| Abstract | At first sight, it does indeed appear difficult to give due recognition to the work of an author such as Ramon Llull. The cause of such difficulty is to be found above all in his methods, which anyone who studies that period may find somewhat unusual, and which all others may consider remote and little scientific. This contribution seeks to get beyond such pre-judgements and to enter more deeply into one of those themes that Llull dealt with and that may nowadays appear on point: the relationship between the Christianity and the other monotheistic religions. This research rests on the supposition that the ultimate intention of Lull's writings was probably that of entering into dialogue with the people of his time and of all ages. And to dialogue, as Llull himself teaches us, means to discuss one and the same subject while coming at it from different points of departure. |
