Abstract | The author presented this paper at the annual meeting of the Indian Theological Association in Alwaye, April this year. He reflects on the primary nature of the Church as ?movement? to which the Institution is subordinated, and the role of the Christians as participants in the civil society where they are called to work with other peoples on a footing of equality, without claiming special privileges. With others they must seek to build the Cosmothendric Society which in Christian theological language we call the Kingdom of God. He gives practical applications of the principles he proposes. |
