| Abstract | The interreligious dialogue is different both from the study of the different religions and from a comparison among them. Talking about dialogue is different from spreading our own religion; it is to be willing to listen to. A Christian can have benefits from his relationships with other religions because every religion brings with itself the richness of referring cultural models, of their languages, of philosophical categories, of their ritual expressions and other local styles. The alternative is that of ignoring each other, to label the others with unacceptable generalizations, or worse, to give origin to rivalry, to promote tensions going towards violence. By the believer it is necessary a clear religious identity, the firm belief about the value of dialogue, an activity characterized by opening attitudes, of love and respect from everyone, and the achievement of the necessary competences to enter the dialogue. |
