Abstract The faith in the resurrection is the hearth of the thinking of Paolo De Benedetti. This conviction does not form a gap between Judaism and Christianity. It's not so, because the faith in the resurrection is a pharisaical one. The key role of resurrection is confirmed by the fact that God can defeat the evil present in His creation only if the dead returns to live. Resurrection is the true theodicy. Resurrection is a need of God. The same consideration concerns the christian Incarnation and the Judaic idea of Shekinah. God needs to be present into His world. The theological concept of kenosis is present both in Judaism and Christianity. To affirm this opinion is necessary to leave the dogmatic language and to adopt the pluralistic vision typical of the midrash.
