| Abstract | The a., with all historical evidences, points out that the seeds of Christianity in India were sown by St. Thomas who became the first missionary to India. He not only preached the Gospel, but also founded churches wherever he went. He was as a man of courage, clarity and conviction. The a. further states that St. Thomas bore witness as a zealous missionary, good pastor and heroic martyr. He was put to test time and again throughout his life. However, in the midst of all his trials, he strongly bore witness to his profession of faith. Thus St. Thomas became an apostle of faith and a paradigm for all of us to proclaim the Gospel to the whole world. |
