Abstract The myth of Babel talks about the destruction of an ideal: a single language. The text of the day of Pentecost is about a new project which upsets who lives it: every single word heard in different languages. The pluralism has always been an internal and external dynamics of cultural and communicative processes. Nowadays it dominates for the acceleration and the development of the connective and media capacity (transport, goods, information) that transmits concepts, people, lifestyles and traditions in the plurality of codes, languages (oral and written), cultural processes and contexts. In the subsequent construction of ?glocal transcultures?, involved by the anthropological mutation which was created by the digital connection, Christian Churches (especially the Catholic one) face the challenge of choosing new communication paradigms. It seems necessary to capably switch from the authoritarian idea of transmission (to send) to the intersubjective idea of sharing (to share), from the idea of linear learning to the comprehension through concept maps, from the ?personal communication? to common themes, from the conflict/fear of diversity to the communication/sharing of the diversity itself.
