| Abstract | The article discusses the parable of the talents in the context of the situation of the poor in Nigeria through the methodology of inculturation hermeneutics. It focuses on a specific commercial arrangement that relates to the parable wherein fresh graduate business apprentices are given money with which to trade for their masters and the profit is shared unevenly between them and the masters. The author aims to demonstrate that the parable is a critique of economic exploitation of the poor by the rich. |
