| Abstract | ?I saw the intervention of the Spirit in being involved in the preparation of some liturgical books for Africa in the English language... For the first time in history, these books have been prepared in Africa for Africa?. The liturgy is a prophetic act, a moment of grace and evangelization. The Small Christian Communities prepare and animate the Sunday liturgical celebrations sharing with the whole community their journey of faith and their commitment to the growth of the Kingdom. They are also ?subjects? of inculturation in their own environment. The action of the Spirit is manifested also in the context of prayer and contemplation: < In my experience in Kenya, it seemed that finally the prophecy of Amos came true: ?Behold, the days are coming ? the Lord God declares ? that I will send famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord?>. Finally, the action of the Spirit makes the missionary a ?man of prayer?. Prayer leads to contemplation, to the union of prayer and life. Listening to the Lord one becomes a better listener to others. |
